Ingredients
- 1 lb. lean ground beef
- 1/2 T. cooking oil, enough to coat pan
- 2/3 c. chopped onion
- 1/2 c. chopped green pepper
- 1 c. Dorothy Lynch Home Style
- 2 T. oatmeal
- 2 tsp. worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 to 1 tsp. chili powder (to taste)
- 1/4 tsp. ground black pepper
- Favorite hot sauce (to taste)
- Prep time: 10 Minutes
- Cook time: 25 Minutes
- Serves: 4
The Method
- Coat a large skillet with cooking oil.
- Cook the ground beef, onion and green peppers, stirring often until meat is browned.
- Drain off any fat.
- Add remaining ingredients and simmer uncovered for 20 minutes. Mixture should not be soupy.
- Serve on buns.
