Print of water color tomatoes- whole and cross sectioned
Ingredients
  • 1 lb. ground sirloin
  • 4 slices bacon, cooked
  • 4 slices American cheese
  • 8 slices Texas toast
  • Chefs Secret Seasoning
  • Dorothy Lynch
  • 1 onion, diced (half uncooked & half sautéed)
  • Prep time: 10 Minutes
  • Cook time: 15 Minutes
  • Serves: 4

The Method

  1. I prefer to cook on a charcoal or wood fire grill, but you can also cook in a fry pan.
  2. Mix half of the diced onion and the ground sirloin in a bowl.
  3. Make into four large patties.
  4. Season each side with Chef’s Secret Seasoning and place on the grill.
  5. Sear grill marks in and then place off direct heat to allow the smoke flavor to set in.
  6. As burgers are cooking, butter the slices of Texas toast and place butter side down on the grill.
  7. Place a cheese slice, bacon slice, and sautéed onion on each burger and drizzle with Dorothy Lynch to taste.
  8. Put the burger together and enjoy. Goes well with potato salad.
