Ingredients
  • 12 slices bread (cottage white works well)
  • 1 stick room temperature butter
  • 1/2 lb. sliced turkey breast
  • 1/2 lb. sliced deli ham
  • 4 slices Colby Jack cheese
  • 8 slices bacon, cooked
  • 2 tomatoes, thinly sliced
  • 2 avocados, sliced
  • 8 iceberg lettuce leaves
  • 1/2 c. mayonnaise
  • 1/2 c. Dorothy Lynch Dressing & Condiment
  • Prep time: 15 Minutes
  • Cook time: 10 Minutes
  • Serves: 4

The Method

  1. Spread 4 slices of bread with butter on both sides.
  2. Grill in a frying pan over medium-high heat on both sides until bread is golden brown.
  3. Set aside to cool.
  4. Spread one side of the 8 remaining slices of bread with butter.
  5. Mix the mayonnaise and Dorothy Lynch Dressing & Condiment in a small mixing bowl.

To assemble sandwiches:

  1. Lay one slice of bread, butter side down.
  2. Spread generously with the sauce.
  3. Follow with a slice of cheese, tomato, turkey, toasted bread, ham, lettuce, avocado, more sauce, and bread.

  1. Heat a frying pan over medium-high heat.
  2. Cook the sandwich for about 2 minutes on each side, until the bread is toasted golden brown.
  3. Press down on the sandwiches with a spatula while cooking to pack them down.
  4. Remove from heat, cut in half (or in fourths), and secure each sandwich with a toothpick, if necessary, to hold the sandwich together.
