Honey Chicken

Honey and Dorothy Lynch Chicken with some greens next to it
Ingredients
  • 2 to 2 1/2 lbs. large chicken pieces
  • 1/2 c. Dorothy Lynch Home Style
  • 1/2 c. orange juice
  • 1 T. soy sauce
  • 2 tsp. cornstarch
  • Prep time: 10 Minutes
  • Cook time: 25 Minutes
  • Serves: 4

The Method

  1. In a 2-cup glass measuring bowl, stir together orange juice, Dorothy Lynch Home Style, soy sauce, and cornstarch.
  2. Microwave on high for 2 to 3 minutes or until mixture is thickened and bubbly, stirring at least twice.
  3. Set aside.
  4. In a 12 x 7 x 2-inch glass baking dish, arrange chicken pieces skin side down, with meaty portions facing toward the outside.
  5. Microwave, covered loosely with waxed paper, on high for 9 minutes, giving the dish a half-turn and rearranging chicken once.
  6. Drain well.
  7. Brush chicken with sauce.
  8. Turn chicken and brush with sauce again.
  9. Microwave covered, for 8 to 10 minutes or until chicken is no longer pink.
  10. Remove the baking dish from the microwave. Keep warm.
  11. Reheat remaining sauce, uncovered, for 1 minute or until heated through.
  12. Serve with chicken.
